Supporting Canada’s Trail

The Trans Canada Trail is not just a trail. It's a 30,000-kilometre network that connects people and communities from coast to coast to coast.

I’m excited to join the Great Canadian Hike, a nationwide challenge to hike, bike, paddle or roll in support of the Trail.

From September 1 to 30, I’ll be logging my kilometres, contributing to the national goal of 100,000 kilometres in 30 days, while raising funds to help keep the Trail accessible, safe, and thriving — for everyone, now and for future generations.

You can sign up to participate, donate directly to my fundraising page, or share my campaign with your network to help spread the word.

Let’s be part of something great — together.

Why I’m Cycling Again

Last year, I took on the Great Canadian Hike and covered 409 kilometres. Somewhere along the way, I realized that these challenges had become about much more than simply putting kilometres behind me.

Cycling has always been something close to my heart. It was something I shared with my dad, and every time I get on my bike, I’m reminded of those memories. Over time, the bike has become a way for me to keep moving forward, literally and otherwise.

Last year, I also took on the Great Cycle Challenge for the first time. I rode 508 kilometres and raised $1,272 for childhood cancer research through SickKids Foundation.
This year, I came back for a second year. I rode 261 kilometres and, thanks to the incredible generosity of my friends, family, and supporters, raised $1,664.

The kilometres may change, but the reason I ride remains the same.

I’m riding for kids fighting battles no child should have to face. I’m riding for the people I’ve loved and lost. I’m riding for my dad, for the memories we shared, and for the reminder that even when life gets difficult, we can keep moving forward.

Every kilometre carries a little bit of meaning.

And as long as I can keep turning the pedals, I’ll keep riding.
