Why I’m Participating in the Great Canadian Hike
There’s something magical about being on the Trail. The fresh air, the stillness of the trees, and the feeling of connection to nature and community. I’ve always turned to the outdoors for peace, health and perspective — and the Trans Canada Trail offers all that and more.
This fall, I’m joining the Great Canadian Hike, a nationwide challenge where people across Canada will hike, bike, paddle or roll and log their kilometres to collectively reach 30,000 kilometres in 30 days — the length of the Trail from coast to coast to coast.
From September 20 to October 19, I’ll be logging my kilometres and raising funds to help keep the Trail accessible, safe, and thriving — for everyone, now and for future generations.
You can sign up to participate, donate directly to my fundraising page, or share my campaign with your network to help spread the word.
Let’s be part of something great — together.

Let’s hit the Trans Canada Trail!
Friday 19th SepThis fall, I’m taking part in the Great Canadian Hike—and honestly, I couldn’t not join. The Trans Canada Trail runs right through my neighbourhood, and every time I step onto it, I’m reminded that this very same path stretches all the way across the country. How cool is that?
For me, it’s about more than just getting in my steps (though that’s a bonus!). It’s about slowing down, breathing in the fresh air, and remembering that I’m part of something bigger. Whether I’m wandering solo, chasing my kids down the trail, or just sneaking in a quick walk before dinner, each step connects me to a journey that spans mountains, forests, prairies, and shorelines.
Joining the hike feels like celebrating the outdoors in the most Canadian way possible: lacing up, heading out, and soaking up the beauty that’s been here all along. The trail is literally at my doorstep—so why not walk it with the rest of the country?
Here’s to moving, exploring, and seeing where the trail leads. Maybe I’ll even spot you out there—always on an adventure! 🌲✨
