Why I’m Participating in the Great Canadian Hike
As Chair of the Board of the Trans Canada Trail, I am excited to be participating in the Great Canadian Hike! The Trail is a true Canadian treasure, and a wonderful connection to nature, especially at this time of year.
I’m joining a team of women cycling a portion of the Trans Canada Trail as part of a nationwide challenge. People across Canada will hike, bike, paddle or roll and log their kilometres to collectively reach 30,000 kilometres in 30 days — the length of the Trail from coast to coast to coast.
From September 20 to October 19, I’ll be logging my kilometres and raising funds to help keep the Trail accessible, safe, and thriving — for everyone, now and for future generations.
