Supporting Canada’s Trail
The Trans Canada Trail is not just a trail. It's a 30,000-kilometre network that connects people and communities from coast to coast to coast.
I’m excited to join the Great Canadian Hike, a nationwide challenge to hike, bike, paddle or roll in support of the Trail.
From September 1 to 30, I’ll be logging my kilometres, contributing to the national goal of 100,000 kilometres in 30 days, while raising funds to help keep the Trail accessible, safe, and thriving — for everyone, now and for future generations.
You can sign up to participate, donate directly to my fundraising page, or share my campaign with your network to help spread the word.
Let’s be part of something great — together.

Sunday 30th AugIf you know me, you know I love to walk—and I like to make it a challenge! So when I saw the opportunity to take part in the Great Canadian Hike, it felt like the perfect way to give back to something that has given me so much.
I’m currently just one stage (about 15 km!) away from completing the 160 km Simcoe Loop Trail, which uses many of the rail trails connecting communities throughout Simcoe County. Many of these trails are also part of the Trans Canada Trail.
The Trans Canada Trail has been part of some pretty special journeys for me. I used sections of it while training for my 2025 Camino de Santiago, and I’ll likely be putting many more kilometres on it as I train for my second Camino in 2027.
What I love most about the Trans Canada Trail is how accessible it is. With so many access points and trails connecting communities, there are endless opportunities to get outside, explore, challenge yourself, and simply enjoy being on the move.
These trails have given me countless kilometres of fresh air, beautiful scenery, personal challenges, and some pretty memorable experiences. Participating in the Great Canadian Hike is my way of giving something back and helping support the trail system that has given me so much.
If you’re able, I’d love your support through a donation. Every contribution helps the Trans Canada Trail continue connecting people and communities across Canada—and helps ensure that these incredible trails are here for all of us to enjoy for years to come.
And of course, I’ll be doing what I love most: putting one foot in front of the other and making those kilometres count! 🚶♀️🇨🇦
