Why I’m Participating in the Great Canadian Hike
I’m Ginette — a tiny dog with a big mission: helping my human clock kilometres on the Trans Canada Trail from September 20 to October 19, as part of the Great Canadian Hike’s 30,000 km in 30 dayschallenge.
This fall, I’m hitting the Trail with my human, Jennifer (she handles the leash and logistics — I handle the vibes). Together, we’re raising funds to help protect, maintain, and improve this incredible network of trails that connects communities across Canada.
I may be small, but I’m mighty — and I believe every dog deserves a safe, scenic place to walk, sniff out adventure, chase squirrels responsibly, and show hoomans how to really enjoy the Great Canadian Hike.
Every dollar helps keep tails wagging and trails walkable from coast to coast to coast.

Day 2: Sister Stroll with Wicca

Hi, it’s me—Ginette 🐾 (Jennifer’s chug, snack enthusiast, and morale captain).
Today’s Great Canadian Hike adventure was a sister stroll with my elegant big sis, Wicca (Thai ridgeback, queen of the purposeful trot). She sets the pace; I set the vibes. Together? A perfect two-dog parade on our local stretch of the trail.
