Lachine Canal National Historic Site
About the Walk
Explore one of Montréal's most iconic trails on a guided walk through the Lachine Canal National Historic Site. We'll be joined by special guest Bruny Surin to lead the walk and help participants explore this section of the Trans Canada Trail. Beginning near Ma Bicyclette Location de Vélos, across the canal from Atwater Market, we'll walk to the Trans Canada Trail Pavilion near the Saint-Gabriel Locks and back, stopping along the way to discover the canal's rich history and the role trails play in connecting communities. Trans Canada Trail staff and Bruny Surin will share stories about this National Historic Site and how it fits into the world's longest network of recreational trails.
