Why we’re participating in the Great Canadian Hike
We're hitting the trail as Team Serenity Now! — a name inspired by one of the classic Seinfeld episodes, where shouting “Serenity now!” was supposed to bring calm… but mostly brought chaos. Sounds about right for the Reddick family!
But for us, being in nature really does bring serenity — the kind that comes from fresh air, trees, laughter, and shared snacks.
We’re hiking the Trans Canada Trail to raise funds to protect and preserve this incredible trail network — so that everyone across Canada can experience that same sense of peace, connection, and yes… serenity.
If you love nature, Seinfeld, or us (and especially if you love all three), we’d be so grateful for your support!
As the longest multi-use trail system in the world, the Trail stretches nearly 30,000 kilometres and connects people and places from coast to coast to coast. From September 20 to October 19, we’ll be logging our kilometres and challenging ourselves to raise funds alongside thousands of people across Canada — all working together toward a collective goal to collectively log 30,000 kilometres in 30 days. Together, we’re helping ensure the Trail remains accessible, safe and thriving for everyone, now and for generations to come.
We’d love your support! You can:
- Join our team and hike with us
- Donate to our fundraiser
- Spread the word and cheer us on
Together, let’s be part of something GREAT — for our health, our communities, and the future of the Trail.
