Supporting Canada’s Trail

The Trans Canada Trail is not just a trail. It's a 30,000-kilometre network that connects people and communities from coast to coast to coast.

I’m excited to join the Great Canadian Hike, a nationwide challenge to hike, bike, paddle or roll in support of the Trail.

From September 1 to 30, I’ll be logging my kilometres, contributing to the national goal of 100,000 kilometres in 30 days, while raising funds to help keep the Trail accessible, safe, and thriving — for everyone, now and for future generations.

GATHERING THE TEAM

Wednesday 5th Aug
I’m excited. Yes, downright enthusiastic, about the Trans Canada Trail. I’m not a very techie person so setting up the links and trying to make it simple for people to join my team was a bit of a challenge. 
First to join was my wonderful husband, Bill. Supportive and insightful he helped refine the words of my invitation.  Thank you Bill!

Next was a call to our tech wizard friend Tess, to be our sign up tester. She made it work and helped me give better instructions in my email invitation. Thanks Tess! You’re a rockstar!

Then, minutes after I sent my invitation email out I received a cheerful “I’m in!” From my trail-runner nephew, Matt. I am so encouraged!  Thank you Matt! I know you sure clock the kms, so it will be an exciting September! I hope the others join too and our team  grows and more and more people become aware of the TCT and what a treasure it is.  

Great first day getting registered, but still need to work out a few technical bugs.
